Tomorrow (20th May) is National Thank a Teacher Day. This is a day when we, as a nation, can come together to say Thank You to teachers across the country who make a huge difference to young people’s lives - not just now during these unprecedented times - but every day! On this day, we will be celebrating and thanking teachers on social media. With the #ThankATeacher and #HowWillYouSayThankYou hashtags, we are encouraging people to share their message of thanks. This can be singing a song, writing and/or reciting a poem, or sharing a picture of a drawing. You can find out more details here.

Wakefield Council have developed a survey that is designed to gain insight into children’s and young people’s experiences of the current epidemic and how this has affected their health and well-being, whether they have been at home or have attended school.
Key Facts About the Survey
You can find the survey here:-

It is vital that we collect this information on how the current situation is affecting our children and young people and therefore we will be better informed on how to target support going forward. We think the information will be extremely valuable to schools as they try and re-introduce children and young people back into formal education and support their health and well-being whilst doing so.
Once again can I please ask your support in this, as ultimately it will benefit the children and young people of the District. If you have any questions or queries do not hesitate to get in touch and huge thanks for your support in this.
