I hope everyone is keeping healthy and safe. Please look at the details below about joining in the Big Sing. This year I have registered for the BIG SING 2020 that is being launched by

the Wakefield music hub. The launch song is ‘ONE’ and can be accessed via the zipped files below.

The first ‘Big Singalong Day’ is Tuesday the 12th May to correspond with International Nurses Day. The aim and singing challenge for this is to get as many people to learn, perform, record and share the song ‘ONE’ as the official launch to this online singing festival.

They are also hoping to go live on Facebook for people to actually sing along and join in at the same time if they so wish. They will then keep adding further Big Sing songs and resources to perform at our second Big Singalong including a brand new song written for International Nurses Day – more details to follow.

So how can we all take part? There are many ways but here are some suggestions:

• Individual performance/recording of the song from home by pupils/teachers
• Family performance/recording from home
• Group performance/recording from those children and staff still attending school

These could then be shared on the day (or earlier if preferred) via twitter or to our Big Sing Facebook page or by email to our dedicated email address wmsbigsing@outlook.com

Even the shortest of clips are great as we aim to compile a big Wakefield compilation video.
