World War II Day, Y6
Year 6 travelled back to the 1940’s and experienced WW2 in a day. The children (and teachers!) came to school dressed in-role. We had a superb morning making gas mask boxes, paper bags and model spitfires before acting out our own air-raid in the classroom. Then, we baked honey biscuits and made jam sandwiches as well as bunting and flags to help prepare for a VE Party at the end of the day. It was a great day had by all with lots of fun and laughter.
