3/4HF - Mrs Fawcett / Adams

  • Homework is given out on a Friday and due back the following Thursday.
  • Homework will consist of two pieces, one English/Topic and one Maths activity.  The work reflects what has been covered in class that week so the children will have been taught everything that they need to know to complete this.
  • Spellings are given out on Wednesday and tested on the following Wednesday.  Children are expected to practice these a minimum of three times in their spelling books.
  • Children have access to Mathletics at home.  There is a weekly competition with the whole school.  Come on my class, I know we can do this!
  • Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday.  Please make sure the children have the correct PE clothes.
  • On a Wednesday dinner time there is a homework club in my class. (I understand that children have very busy home lives, so this gives them the opportunity to be responsible for completing their work).
  • Whole class guided reading takes place every day to ensure that all children are engaged and reading material to promote a love and greater understanding of reading.

World Book Day - March 2019

World Book Day 2019

Year 3/4 had a fantastic World Book Day.  We based all of our activities around The Revolting Rhymes by Roald Dahl.  We looked at The Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood.  We used 'Rhyme Zone' to write our own revolting rhymes which we then wrote out.  We got to act out different scenes using some props and we also created wanted posters for Little Red Riding Hood and designed book covers for our rhymes.  The day was amazing!
