We would just like to say a massive thank you and well done to all of the families for putting in such a brilliant effort with costumes and outfits for Science Day. We were very impressed, not only by the quality and range of costumes but by how much the children knew about different scientists! Fantastic! Thank you.
What a day we had as the whole school channelled their inner scientist! The children were so enthusiastic about the exciting activities and experiments they were carrying out. We had mini scientists in Nursery exploring shadows; children investigating bubbles, bounce, melting and growing; scientists studying health and fitness; discoveries of patterns in humans and nature; and experiments into growth of plants. All the children learnt about some famous scientists and the amazing contributions they have made to our world. We even had some real scientists visit to share their passion and expertise in their field - a Sports Scientist in Y2 and a Clinical Scientist in Y5 & 6. We also now have a mini woodland thanks to Y1, Roger Parkinson and the Woodland Trust. What a fantastic day!
