Our Christian values are at the heart of all we do in school. Alongside our British values which interweave so much, they shape our ethos, provide a template for our life together in our school community and are the focus for our daily act of worship. We believe that if everyone follows these values they will grow up to become model citizens in modern Britain.
We have adopted core Christian values which run through our school. Each half-term we consider one value in particular depth and this is a constant presence when working and living with one another in school. These core values are:
Thankfulness |
Friendship |
Trust |
Peace |
Creation |
Compassion |
Forgiveness |
Service |
Hope |
Wisdom |
Justice |
Endurance |
Service
1 Peter 4:10
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace.
Perseverance
Romans 12:12
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.
Inquisitiveness
Proverbs 25:2-3
It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out. As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, so the heart of kings is unsearchable.
Respect
Matthew 7:12
"So whatever you wish that others would do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets."
Inspiration
Luke12:12
"For the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say."
Trust
Romans 15:13
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
