Thank you for your interest in working with us at St Peter's & Clifton. We currently have the following vacancies :-

Learning Mentor (Attendance and Behaviour)

Full time (5 days per week)

Grade 6 Salary (£22,396.26 -£24,810.42)

Hours (8:00-16:00, 37 hours per week)

Term time only 190 days.

We are looking for a confident, highly capable and flexible teaching assistant to fulfil the role of Learning Mentor (attendance & behaviour) in our school from 3 June 2024 (or earlier). You will be joining a Learning mentor team of 3 with 2 people for Safeguarding and Pastoral and then this new post – Attendance and Behaviour. We are seeking someone with experience of working with school children. The successful candidate will assist the Headteacher with dealing with staff attendance at work concerns and organising cover for sickness absences, pupil behaviour and attendance concerns, analysing and acting upon attendance data, writing letters to parents and issuing fines for the head to sign off, meeting education welfare officers, social workers, attending strategy and behaviour panel meetings, undertaking home visits, organising group meetings, advising teaching staff and teaching assistants and liaising with parents on a regular basis - sometimes in difficult circumstances.

We are looking for a confident, highly capable and flexible teaching assistant to fulfil the role of Learning Mentor in our school from 3 June 2024 (or earlier). We are seeking someone with experience of working with primary school children. The successful candidate will assist the Headteacher with dealing with safeguarding concerns, education welfare officers, social workers, attending strategy meetings and child protection conferences, organising meetings with FIM and play therapy, liaison with Hub workers and keeping up to date with all aspects of Safeguarding Training, advising teaching staff and teaching assistants and liaising with parents on a regular basis - sometimes in difficult circumstances. A qualification in Mental Health and wellbeing may also be helpful in the pastoral support side of the role.
