Wakefield Museums and Castles run regular workshops and activities at a number of different venues around the Wakefield area. Many are free. You can find the latest copy of the Wakefield Museums and Castles 'What’s On Guide' which includes many informal learning options available for families here.
There is also a Summer Planner which promotes something to do every day during the summer holidays, including the Libraries Summer Reading Challenge, which has a space theme this year linked to the very exciting Museum of the Moon which is coming to Wakefield in August. Find the planner here.
Lots of photos have been added to the website from our Sports Days that were held this morning. A big well done to all of our children who tried so hard in competing in all of the events. Visit Our Children, Galleries, Sport to view them or click here.
The re-arranged KS2 Sports Day will be held in the afternoon of Monday 15th July.
Last Friday afternoon six Year 5 children visited Horbury Bridge Academy to take part in the Global Goals challenge run by Year 6 children. Mary Creagh (MP) gave a presentation on climate change and its effects and the governments plans to change things.
The children took part in several different activities and games about climate change, global warming and poverty. They learnt about recycling and reusing, fair trade and pollution. The children had a lovely time whilst learning about very important issues.
To view the photos, visit 'Our Children, Galleries, Trips and Visits' or click here.
