Charis, a Casting Researcher at Love Productions; the company behind The Great British Bake Off, The Great British Sewing Bee and The Great Pottery Throw Down has recently contacted our school.

They have opened applications for the 7^th series of Junior Bake Off; a Channel 4 programme that celebrates the culinary talent and ambition of the younger generation in Britain.

They are looking for young budding bakers aged between 9 -15 years old. Filming would take place from July 2021, but applications close on Sunday 28^th March 2021.

If you’ve got bored, restless children at home who love all things animals then this brand new activity launched by Tropical World in Leeds will definitely be worth checking out! They have developed 2 Escape Rooms which are free to complete. There is one aimed at KS2 and one aimed at KS1 age children. Whilst being both entertaining and challenging, they also link in with the National Curriculum and therefore are ideal home learning resources whilst schools are closed. The aim of the activity is to “find the missing meerkat” within 60 minutes, so you could set a timer and compete with friends or other family members to see who can find it in the quickest time.
