School Milk
All children under the age of 5 receive a carton (1/3 pint) of free school milk. Once children reach their 5th birthday, you can decide whether you would like your child's milk to continue.
At 5, children who receive Free School Meals under the new 'targeted' criteria can still receive their milk for free - please let us know if you would like us to order this for your child as we no longer order it as standard unless instructed to do so by yourselves. This is because we had a lot of wasted milk each week that wasn’t being drunk that had to be thrown away and we are trying to minimise this wastage.
Parents of children who do not qualify for FSM's and children who receive Free School Meals under the new 'expanded' criteria will have to pay for their milk once their child reaches the age of 5 if they would like it to continue. There is a small cost for this - approx. £18 per term.
