  • Virtual Sports Day

    Our Virtual Sports Day will be held on Wednesday 24th June 2020 (although you can complete the activities at anytime that week).

     

    You can find the full details on how to take part, the list of activities and how to score under 'Our Children, Galleries, Sport, Virtual Sports Day' or click here.

     

    Results need to be submitted no later than Friday 26th June. Details of where to send your results can also be found on the above link.

  • Bubbles & Lego Challenge

    Our Y1's have had lots of fun so far this week in our new bubbles. We've made our own bubble wands and tested them out. We looked carefully at the colours in the bubbles and then made a bubble picture with paint and oil pastels. And we've started a lego challenge on a morning - we were very proud of our houses! We were practising our new bubble's motto of "We don't stop until we are proud!" . The children have shown some great perseverance this week.
  • Let's get Silly! - Summer Reading Challenge

    This summer, Wakefield Libraries in partnership with the Reading Agency are asking families to have some seriously silly fun together. Join the Silly Squad, Summer Reading Challenge 2020, and its hilarious cast of characters and have some family fun reading together. This year, there is a brand new digital reading challenge and you can join and take part online at sillysquad.org.uk.

    The Silly Squad is a team of animal friends who love to go on adventures and get stuck in to all different kinds of funny books. Join the Silly Squad on a new adventure by setting your own personal reading challenge to complete this summer. Keep track of your books, reviews and unlock rewards along the way. There are also have heaps of super silly activities, quizzes, videos, games and more to keep you entertained at home.

    There will be lots of ideas for reading fun and don’t forget you can borrow books and talking books from our digital library services. Please share your silly adventures with us @WFLibraries #SillySquad2020

  • Baking honey biscuits

    Last week we did social distance baking in one of our bubbles! After our bee theme, the children baked honey biscuits. They loved mixing and shaping the dough, and loved eating the biscuits even more!
