'Sports for Champions' Olympian Visit, May 2024

The whole school has had a fantastic day with our visiting Olympic athlete. Rebekah Green has spent time with all the classes answering questions and talking about her journey to become an Olympic Freestyle Kayaker hopefully inspiring many pupils to achieve more. She brought her kayak in to show pupils and everyone has enjoyed their experience doing the circuit exercise challenge to raise money for both the Sports for Champions fundraising company and for our school.

Due to the very generous sponsorship from family and friends of pupils throughout school, we have received £1,278.84 of the money raised. A huge THANK YOU to all those who donated. Pupils who qualified for reward postcards and posters will receive them today and those who had their photos with the athlete will receive them when they are received by ourselves, possibly after the half term holiday. All children got a 'TODAY I HAVE BEEN A CHAMPION' STICKER' to bring home. Thank you all once again for your support.
