Would your child like to design an armour for King Charles III?
The Royal Armouries have launched a competition for all primary and secondary school children to celebrate the coronation.
Children have until 2nd July to get creative and design a new armour for the King, with three age categories and VIP tickets to our Jousting Tournament in August as a prize for each category. The overall winner will be put forward to be made into a suit of armour for His Majesty.
Children can take inspiration on how to decorate the armour from the history of King Charles' life, his personal passions, or the armour of previous Kings throughout history.

This year Yorkshire Attractions are trialling a digital version of their much-loved voucher booklet. The booklet contains discount vouchers for a variety of attractions throughout Yorkshire. Barnsley Museum is offering a range of fun family activities over the Easter holidays – the majority of these are free and entry to their sites is free of charge, and can provide warm spaces for families during the cost of living crisis. Please see the attached flyer for further details.
Mini Netball classes are a fun and educational way to introduce your child to netball. We offer a high-energy, fun, creative and age-appropriate introduction to physical activity through netball. Our young netballers enjoy learning new skills, taking part in mini-games, and having fun forming new friendships.
These netball classes for kids are weekly, hour-long classes that run during term time for children aged between 5 and 11. All abilities are catered for.
Saturdays, during term time in Wakefield (starting 22nd April):
Session 1: 9 – 10 am for school years 1 – 3
Session 2: 10 – 11 am for school years 4 – 5
Session 3: 11 – 12 for school year 6
Minis cost is £40 a month and is paid by Direct Debit.

Contact are running a range of Early years workshops for parents of children aged 0-5, covering topics such as sleep, speech and language, and early years entitlements.
