  • Red Nose Day - Friday 18th March

    Red Nose Day will be held on Friday 18th March. Children can come to school in non uniform. Wear something red! - red clothes, red nose clothing, red socks, a red nose, etc! We will be again using a designated ParentPay page to mange our donations so you will not be individually assigned to a ParentPay item on your Account, simply follow the link here to make your donation. 

  • Reindeer Run certificate

    Today we received a certificate from Wakefield Hospice thanking us for participating in the Reindeer Run in December. We raised £235 so thank you to everyone who donated.

  • Behaviour that challenges

    Please see the below flyer for details of a free parenting course for parents/carers who have children or someone that they care for who is displaying challenging behaviour. The course is being held at St George's Community Centre, Lupset.

  • Night Owls - Mental health Service for children and young people

    A new overnight listening and advice service for children and young people experiencing a mental health crisis has launched.

    Night OWLS is a confidential support line for children and young people in crisis. Helping them and their parents and carers.

    The service is available 8pm – 8am every day.

    Family Hubs – Parent and Carer Consultation

     

    Wakefield Families Together are holding a Parent and Carer Consultation in relation to 9 new ‘Family Hubs’ that will work with families with children from pre-birth to 19 years (or 25 years with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities). It is important that they consult with as many parents and carers as possible in order to find out what support and services are wanted and needed in each of the 9 locations across the Wakefield district.

     

    The online consultation is open until Friday 28 January 2022. You can find the link here.

  • Science Day Fun at home - Growing Ice!

    We've been exploring all different aspects of 'Growing' as part of Science Day today and we wanted to continue the fun at home too! Have fun growing some ice! All you need is water and a freezer and a little time, patience and curiosity. Please follow the links to see how to do it.     The NHS Food Scanner App makes it easy for families to find healthier food and drink options. Please see this nutrition leaflet to inspire pupils and their families to make healthier swaps at home.

  • Christmas Raffle

    The Christmas Raffle has been drawn this morning. We sold an amazing 1009 tickets so thank you all for your support. This money will go towards school funds. Raffle prizes are being distributed to class this afternoon where possible. If you have won a prize and your child does not bring it home today, please pop to the school office and collect it after school this week. The winning raffle numbers can be found on our 'Letters' page.

  • Advent Family Event - St Peter's Church
